Tour Timeline

  • Day 1:Arrival in Goma then transfer to the Hotel

    Upon your arrival in Goma, you will be picked by either Gonya safaris driver or guide who will later drive you to your preferred hotel or lodge followed by a briefing about your 12 days Congo and Uganda safari.

  • Day 2 : We explore Nyiragongo active volcano.

    We are hiking the Volcanoes on this day. Our breakfast will be quite early to enable us cross the border and prepare for a morning briefing at the Kibati ranger post of the Virunga National Park. Porters will be available to help us carry our luggage to the summit, food will be prepared by the team from the park. You are however free to pack your own meal/sandwich for the day on the Virunga Volcano hike. Some of our travelers are experienced trekkers while others it’s their first time. We urge all our guests to this volcano mountain in Congo to let us know so that we prepare accordingly. Rain gears, trekking sticks can be provided.

  • Day 3 : We fly to Uganda.

    When you are done with your breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and then embark on the journey to the airport in order to fly to Uganda. And upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met by our driver or guide who will transfer you to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 4 : We explore Mabamba swamp for shoebill and Botanical gardens.

    Arise early for breakfast, thereafter head out to the swamp areas of Mabamba in search for the elusive shoebill. Afterwards return for lunch before relaxation walks in the botanical gardens.

  • Day 5 : We explore Ziwa Rhino then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

    You will be transferred to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Located in Nakasongola District for Rhino Trekking. We shall go to the Ziwa nature reserve for a walking safari with rhinos accompanied by rangers. Walking safari is fundamentally different from the classic safari by car that gives you the opportunity to drive deeper into the world of wild animals. Before meeting with rhinos, rangers will tell you how to behave next to wild white rhinos. The Ziwa nature reserve is the only place in Uganda that has rhinos, making it a must visit for those who want to see the big five in Uganda (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo). In addition, a close meeting with the three ton giants will not leave anyone the same and will remain in your memory for a long time, have a break for lunch and refreshment then after transfer to Murchison Falls arriving in the early evening hours. Arrive and check in at your hotel as you wait for your dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6 : We enjoy morning game drive Safari, Boat trip and Top falls.

    After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in the prime areas of Murchison Falls. Look out for elephants, antelopes, giraffes, antelopes and of course the big cats such as the lions. Have lunch before setting off for a boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls that will be accompanied by going to the Top of falls for photo taking and also having at sight at the features in Murchison falls after return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

    Day 7 : Chimpanzee trekking then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

    After breakfast you will head for a briefing at Kibale Forest National Park headquarters before setting off for a forest walk looking for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information of both chimpanzees and primates and also small organisms making it memorable. While on the walk you will see other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, lhoestes, and butterflies. After trekking the chimps, head at the lodge for lunch and refreshments thereafter transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the park is nestled between two lakes, George and Edward with the Kazinga channel joining the two, its lush Savannah offers prime grazing ground for the African buffaloes, African elephants and various antelopes, the parks hosts over 600 bird species. Drive direct to the lodge for check in and then go for evening nature walks to explore the crater lakes. Dinner and Overnight.

    Day 8 : Morning game drive in Kasenyi and Boat cruise on Kazinga.

    Arise early today and have breakfast to catch the lions, hyenas hunting before they retire into the thickets. Other animals to see on the game drive include; cape buffalo, the handsome Uganda kob, warthog, elephant, leopard, water buck. In the afternoon, take a cruise on the Kazinga channel a place for over 600 bird types, hippo, crocodile, Cape buffalo and later go for another evening game drive through Kasenyi and specifically to search for the big hunters of the park such as Lions, Leopard, Spotted hyenas and many others since evening is their right time to look for their survival and expect to find them in action. Later on head to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

    Day 9 : Game drive in Ishasha. Transfer to Bwindi Ruhisha for Gorilla mist.

    After breakfast, head for the morning game drive before being transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park a home to the half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas. We shall have a game drive through Ishasha sector to search for the amazing tree climbing lions and after gathering memories here have a continuation of the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park for the mountain gorilla experience, upon arrival you will check in, have a relaxation and go for an evening village walk or souvenir shopping in the local craft shops if time allows. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 10 :Gorilla trekking, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

    After breakfast, head to the information center for a briefing before embarking on the long awaited trek. Gorilla trekking may last only for 4 hours or up to 7 hours or more of the day sometimes with rain overhead so be prepared with sturdy hiking boots, waterproof jacket. After experiencing trek, go back to lodge for a well-deserved hot shower and lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for evening cruising on Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight.

    Day 11 :Lake Bunyonyi then transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for evening game drive

    After breakfast with beautiful memories of the mountain gorillas depart Lake Bunyonyi heading to Lake Mburo National Park the best place in the country to see the gigantic eland antelope, as well as zebra, topi, impala, and several acacia-associated birds and including other animal like leopard, jackals, hyenas, zebra and the newly introduced giraffes among others.. On arrival to the park enjoy the drive en route to the overnight accommodation. Drive straight to the lodge to have lunch, relax as you are viewing the park and in the evening go for an amazing game drive in search for the wildlife of the park. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda with few predators and it is the best for biking and nature walk safaris. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 12 :Through Equator to Entebbe. Sky beach, then transfer to Airport.

    Have breakfast and check out of the hotel then embark on the drive to Entebbe with a stopover at Kayabwe equator point for the picture experience and to buy souvenirs, then proceed to sky beach for swimming and have lunch then later drive straight to Entebbe international airport for your return flight back home with great experience of gorilla.
