Tour Timeline

  • Day 1:Arrival at Entebbe then transfer to the hotel.

    Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up from Entebbe to transfer you to your hotel.

  • Day 2: We explore shoebills at mabamba swamps and botanical gardens.

    Arise early for breakfast, thereafter head out to the swamp areas of Mabamba in search for the elusive shoebill. Afterwards return for lunch before relaxation walks in the botanical gardens.

  • Day 3: City tour then transfer to Jinja.

    On this day, travel to Kampala for a city tour. See and hear about how the streets of Kampala were named. Also visit historical and architectural sites such as the Gadaffi Mosque, Namirembe Church and Mengo Palace of the dominant tribe of Uganda. Thereafter, transfer to Jinja the adventure capital of East Africa.

  • Day 4: Rafting on the Nile

    Enjoy a leisurely day with adventure options such as White Water Rafting, Tubing on the Nile, Quad Biking, Horse riding and a soothing boat cruise to the source of the Nile.

  • Day 5 : Explore Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary then transfer to Masindi for Murchison.

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Located in Nakasongola District for Rhino Trekking. We shall go to the Ziwa nature reserve for a walking safari with rhinos accompanied by rangers. Walking safari is fundamentally different from the classic safari by car that gives you the opportunity to drive deeper into the world of wild animals. Before meeting with rhinos, rangers will tell you how to behave next to wild white rhinos. The Ziwa nature reserve is the only place in Uganda that has rhinos, making it a must visit for those who want to see the big five in Uganda (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo). In addition, a close meeting with the three ton giants will not leave anyone the same and will remain in your memory for a long time, then later on you will be transferred to Masindi for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 6 : Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

    Picked up from your hotel by your Driver / Guide after breakfast and start the journey, where you will have your lunch and then proceed to the National park in time for an evening game drive on the northern part of the National park. Where you will see different animal species that include four of the big five that is the Lions, leopard, elephants and buffaloes other animals you will encounter are the Rothschild’s giraffe, warthogs, birds, etc.

  • Day 7 : Chimpanzee Trekking then Transfer to Fort portal.

    After breakfast, head off for briefing 30 minutes prior to your activity which will start at exactly 8:00 am. You will literally be following the 7 primate safari. This is also an amazing activity for bird watchers because Murchison Falls is one of the National Parks that is blessed with a wide variety of different bird species as you do your habituation with the chimpanzees, chances are you will get to see different bird species then transfer to Fort portal.

  • Day 8 : Semiliki National Park, pygmies and boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

    Awaken early to the area around the geothermal hot springs at Sempaya Semuliki National Park is not only very scenic but also offers some great birding. The cliffs behind the ranger post are home to the crepuscular Freckled Nightjar and these can be seen gliding around the clearing with Black-shouldered Nightjars. In the lush rainforest around here listen for the bizarre dawn and dusk duetting of the elusive Nkulengu Rail hen in that evening, visit to the pygmies who are the endangered group of people around Echuya Forest Reserve in Kisoro and Kabala Districts of South-Western Uganda. The Echuya is located in the Albertine Rift region recognized as an important eco-region. Thereafter head for boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, bird watching etc.

  • Day 9 : Morning Game Drive in Kasenyi and Evening Game drive Ishasha

    Early morning delicious breakfast and board for Game drive in Kasenyi to spot the lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, waterbuck, hyena, topis, leopards, hippos, among others then that evening transfer to Ishasha to watch the tree- climbing Lions and other animals. Tree-forming lions of Ishasha are known all over the world. Scientists still argue why these lazy cats after a hearty lunch prefer to take a nap in the trees.

    Day 10 : Ishasha game drive safari

    After our early morning breakfast from the hotel, the driver will be already waiting to take you for a safari game drive in Ishasha. Then after we drive to Bwindi impenetrable.

    Day 11 : Gorilla trekking

    We shall have the morning breakfast and then the driver or guide will lead us for trekking and as we are there, you listen to the instructions of the rangers about the rules of behavior in the jungle of mountain gorillas. Depending on the weather and where the gorillas are, the walk can take up to 5-7 hours. But meeting with these animals for sure you will remember for a life time. When we get done with trekking there will be a head back at the hotel as we set ourselves to depart to Lake Bunyonyi.

    Day 12 : Lake Bunyonyi

    You will enjoy sight-seeing at Lake Bunyonyi found in Kabale which is the second deepest lake in Africa and a great place for birders. You will be welcomed by the sweet sounds of the birds, the word Bunyonyi means Small birds in the local language. You will go for a canoe trip on the lake whereby you will be able to see various birds, communities, landforms such as the islands around 29 islands are in the lake, as well as go for a community/nature walk through the Batwa and Abaheesi communities. Take as much photographs as you can. After the canoe, head back to the hotel for relaxation, swimming, dinner and overnight.

    Day 13 : Transfer to Lake Mburo

    Early morning after break fast then proceed to be transferred to Lake Mburo National park then have and evening game drive.

    After an early morning breakfast then go for a game drive after proceed to The equator on the way to Entebbe take pictures then procced to Entebbe airport.
